My name is April Quill. I am Swampy Cree from Sapotaweyak Cree Nation with ties to Wuskwi Sipihk First Nation, and a fifth-year statistics major. I am also a research assistant at CHRIM, passionate about health research and Indigenous data sovereignty. As the Director of Finance for the Indigenous Students Association, and through my past roles as the UMSU Associate Indigenous Students’ Representative and mentor in the Neechiwaken Peer Mentor Program, I am passionate about contributing to the Indigenous student community and advocating for Indigenous students across all spaces.
